Covering initiatives from agricultural water management and youth education to clean water provision, health support, and eco-consciousness, these settings foster rich opportunities for mutual growth and sustainable grassroots impact.
Weihura
Weihura Village, Wanokaka District
Agriculture is one of the areas of community life addressed in Weihura, where irrigation is a key concern. The village requires an alternative to diesel-powered pumps to support agricultural water distribution.
Children’s literacy is another area of concern, alongside the need to support family nutrition. These needs highlight opportunities to strengthen children’s access to learning activities and help mothers gain knowledge about preparing nutritious supplementary food.
Baliloku
Baliloku Village, Wanokaka District
Access to clean water is a key challenge in Baliloku, particularly in one of its hamlets, where residents need improved access to a clean-water supply.
The community’s identified needs also include family nutrition, children’s hygiene practices, and organic waste management. Improving knowledge of healthy habits and composting can help address everyday health concerns while making use of organic waste to support local agricultural and plantation potential.
