About Us
About COP
Community Outreach Program (COP) is an international service learning program organized by Institute for Research and Community Outreach canter of Petra Christian University. COP was held for the first time on 1996. There have been 20 universities from 13 countries join this program. For more than 29 years, more than 3500 students from various countries working together with local group of people to empower rural area communities in Indonesia.
Through this program, Community Outreach Program (COP) students and participants are equipped to become more attuned to the needs of local communities and to actively contribute to their development and empowerment. COP serves as a platform for service, learning, multicultural exchange, and the advancement of technology, knowledge, and the arts through collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds. The initiatives implemented by COP participants in various locations are designed to promote sustainable and measurable development across multiple sectors—including social, economic, environmental, legal, and governance—aligned with the objectives of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
